§ 26-453. Findings.

  • (a)

    F.S. § 163.3202 requires that local governments adopt land development regulations within one year after submission of their revised comprehensive plans.

    (b)

    Local land development regulations shall contain specific and detailed provisions necessary or desirable to implement the adopted comprehensive plan.

    (c)

    The town commission finds that during the site preparation stage of new construction many valuable trees are destroyed and/or removed.

    (d)

    The town commission finds that it is necessary to establish regulations that will control the loss of trees and vegetation in the community.

    (e)

    The town commission held public hearings on May 8, 1991, and June 5, 1991, and accepted public comments, made revisions and found the ordinance codified in this article to be consistent with and further the intent of the Beverly Beach Comprehensive Plan 2000.
